Super Savers Youth Account

GPOFCU is pleased to offer a special youth account — GPOFCU Super Savers — for kids up to age 18.

To open a GPO Super Saver Account for your child or grandchild‚ simply fill out a membership application in the child’s name‚ provide a birth certificate & Social Security card‚ and deposit a minimum of $10 to the account.

Kids under 12 years will automatically become members of the Kirby Kangaroo Club‚ and teens age 13-17 will learn about money and credit through the Claim Your Youth financial education program. Adults will find tools and ideas to get even their littlest Roo started with healthy financial habits at the Family Roo website.

Hey teens age 13-17! Do you ever ask when should I start saving? How do I buy my first car? What’s an interest rate?…If this sounds like you then Claim Your Youth and GPOFCU have you covered. Claim Your Youth is a teen-specific program where you can get answers to common finance questions and start taking control of your finances.

  • The Claim Your Youth website features a super-cool interactive experience to help teens like you learn about money and credit.

  • Free eServices. Monitor your account with GPOFCU’s free mobile banking app for your smart phone or tablet.

Kirby Kangaroo Club

Super Savers 12 and under get more than just a savings account‚ they get adventures‚ games‚ savings tips‚ and entrepreneurial ideas with the Kirby Kangaroo Club. It’s a FREE and fun educational program that allows young savers to learn a little something about credit unions‚ money management skills and savings. Our goal is to develop a healthy financial relationship right from the start.

  • Kirby Kangaroo website — There is no log-in required on the interactive Kirby Kangaroo website‚ so there’s no worry about online security or unwanted emails. Kids will love Kirby‚ and best of all‚ while they’re having fun‚ they’'ll be learning good financial management skills!
