And not only can you get information about your accounts, but you can also transfer funds between accounts and request check withdrawals. You can pay bills online too! Pay Your Bills

And, if you're tired of all the paper clutter, you can take control. Just sign up for e-statements! E-statements are simply an electronic version of your regular monthly or quarterly credit union statement of account. They look the same but you don't have to wait for them to arrive in your mailbox. Instead, we will send you an email letting you know that your statement is ready. Then you will simply view it, download it or file it as you please.

Take the Visa card you already use, add a password to confirm online purchases, and you’ve got Verified by Visa.  It’s the new service that helps ensure that only you can use your Visa card online.  Visa always protects you against unauthorized purchases.  But with Verified by Visa, you can help prevent unauthorized purchases before they even happen.

Here’s how it works
Verified by Visa is a new service that protects the Visa credit or debit card that you already have.  So once you activated Verified by Visa:

1. At participating online stores, your card will be automatically recognized as protected by Verified by Visa.
2. Your password will be verified.
3. The transaction will be completed as usual.

GPOFCU Joins the Allpoint Network

As of June 6, 2007, GPOFCU members can now use their ATM/VISA Debit Card at Allpoint network of ATMs nation-wide without paying foreign ATM fees. Allpoint has grown to over 37,000 surcharge-free ATMs with the addition of the 7-Eleven ATMs and expansion into the United Kingdom. There are 800 plus ATMs in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, including Target, Rite Aid and CVS stores.

Want to check if the ATM at your favorite store is on the network? Go directly to the link www.allpointnetwork.com and put in your zip code or city to find the nearest location.

Allpoint now has a 24/7 IVR Phone system that you can call at anytime, from anywhere, to find the nearest Allpoint ATM by saying or dialing in the zip code or street address.  The desired Allpoint ATM location can then be text to your cell phone as well.  The number is 800.976.4917

When using an Allpoint ATM, you may see a message stating you will be assessed a surcharge. If one appears while using an Allpoint ATM, simply enter “YES” to accept the surcharge and proceed with your withdrawal. At the end of the transaction, you will not find a charge on your receipt nor will your account be charged.

BALANCE — Financial Fitness Program

GPOFCU wants to help you achieve your financial goals, whether that means getting out of debt, sending the kids to college, buying your first home, or retiring. The newest benefit of membership is access to personal finance information and counseling six days a week.
